Braves Showing Hudson Love
- Updated: October 14, 2013
Hudson broke his ankle in late July against the Mets, which has put his future in question. He accumulated an 8-7 record with a 3.93 ERA in 2013 before missing the rest of the season.
The 38-year old Hudson, and his wife Kim, are very active in the Atlanta community with their foundation. Hudson turned down more money twice before so he could sign with the Braves. He indicated earlier this season that he would like to return to Atlanta.
With the Braves young starting rotation, Hudson could have provided the leadership that seemed to be lacking down the against the Mets that he was injured.
One thing that we seem to learn every season, is that you can never have enough pitching. Despite his serious injury and age, the Braves must like how Hudson is progressing physically to consider investing in him again. It will be interesting to see what type contract that Hudson is offered.
