Donovan McNabb Attacking Robert Griffin Like Jilted Lover
- Updated: August 14, 2013
Former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb is acting like a jilted lover the way he keeps attacking Washington Redskins quarterback, Robert Griffin III. McNabb’s problem with Robert Griffin this time is Griffin’s relationship with the Redskins’ organization.
McNabb has been wanting to meet with RG3, but the former number one draft choice wants no part of McNabb. According to Sara Kogood of the Washington Post, McNabb talked about Griffin’s rejection on his radio show.
“I’m just trying to help him,” McNabb said. “Clearly the young generation, they think they have all the answers. He’s going through a little turmoil now, trying to make it out on the field, and it’s unfortunate. But that’s where we’re at right now as far as these young quarterbacks who think they have all the answers. Until things start to fall apart and come down trembling on you, then you want some help. But it’s a shame. I honestly think that over there in Washington, he’s getting brainwashed.”
While the younger generation may act like they have all the answers, they older generation often does the same. Why does the older generation often think they have to “save” the younger generation with their wisdom?
In McNabb’s defense, when an individual is doing a sports talk radio show, there is a lot of minutes to fill and ratings wars to win. By bringing Robert Griffin III into his radio dialogue, McNabb is making headlines and getting a lot of free publicity. Free publicity, more than helping Robert Griffin III, is McNabb’s real agenda.
