Eagles Should Roll Against Injury-Riddled Cowboys
- Updated: October 15, 2013
The Philadelphia Eagles have had a smooth road the past few weeks, racking up easy victories against winless teams. The good fortune continues this week as the Eagles will face a Dallas Cowboys team that will be missing key players.
Dallas Cowboys stud pass rusher, DeMarcus Ware, is expected to be out with a quad injury and starting running back DeMarco Murray is expected to miss the game with a sprained knee. The Cowboys lose considerable punch without those two players.
Despite double teams, Ware has racked up four sacks this season and is the Cowboys big play guy on their defense. Kyle Wilber has been tabbed to start in Ware’s place. The step down in talent from Ware to Wilber is like falling off a 10-story building.
The step down at running back will be like falling off the top of the Sears Tower if Murray can’t play. Rookie running back Joseph Randle has averaged only 1.5 yards on 11 carries.
After the Cowboys game the schedule sets up well for the Eagles. They play a Giants team that has yet to log a victory in 2013, followed by the terrible Raiders, the injury-riddled Green Bay Packers and a mediocre at best Washington Redskins team.
