Freeman May Start Against Giants
- Updated: October 16, 2013
The Minnesota Vikings quarterback carousel continues to spin. It appears the Vikings may start Josh Freeman against the New York Giants on Monday night. The determining factor will be how well Freeman has digested the Vikings’ playbook.
Do the Vikings actually have a playbook… don’t they just hand off to Adrian Peterson?
The 1-4 Vikings have received ineffective QB play so far this season from Christian Ponder and Matt Cassel. Ponder was benched last week against the Panthers in favor of Cassel, who threw two interceptions and didn’t get much done in the Vikings’ 35-10 loss.
Should Freeman not be ready to go, reports are that Ponder will once again get the nod to start.
The quarterback always seems to get the blame when NFL teams lose. But the Vikings’ problems go way beyond their signal caller. They have given up the second most points in the NFL.
