Giants Safety Talks About Suspension
- Updated: July 28, 2013
New York Giants safety Will Hill says the suspension he received was for failing a drug test last year. He used marijuana cause he had difficulty coping with life.
This is the second time that Hill has been suspended by the NFL and slapped with a four-game suspension. His first suspension was for violating the league’s performance-enhancing substances policy. The drug he took was Adderall which he said was taken for attention deficit disorder.
Hill made the Giants last season as a free agent, so his spot on the Giants is not guaranteed. He says that he went to rehab clinics this past March and April and has been in an outpatient program since.
Hill recorded 30 tackles and 2 passes defended in 12 games played last season. He played well on special teams, contributing 13 special teams tackles.
Brandon Collins, a Giants backup wide receiver, was also suspended for the first four games of the season. His suspension was laid down last month for NFL Substances of Abuse Policy.
