Packers Sign QB Seneca Wallace
- Updated: September 2, 2013
According to reports, the Green Bay Packers have signed veteran QB, Seneca Wallace. This signing comes on the heels of the Packers cutting Vince Young.
Wallace was cut by the San Francisco 49ers and coach Jim Harbaugh informed reporters that Wallace would be retiring. That won’t be the case, as Wallace and his knowledge of the 49ers playbook, will be standing on the Packers sidelines when when the two teams play in their season opener.
Wallace has played in 62 NFL games, logging 21 starters. He’s thrown for 4,808 yards and 31 touchdowns while yielding 18 interceptions.
To make room for Wallace, the Packers cut QB B.J. Coleman. The Packers also signed another 49er reject on Sunday, quarterback Scott Tolzien.
