Tim Beckman Ranked #12

Illinois head football coach Tim Beckman is ranked #12 in the hot seat rankings according to a nationally known website that specializes in evaluating college football coaches.

Beckman is the highest rated Big Ten coach, behind only Purdue’s Darrell Hazell.

The beleaguered Illinois coach is a very disappointing 6-18 in his first two seasons coaching The Illini.  Illinois was 7-6 the last two seasons of Ron Zook’s tenure, including two bowl victories.  Beckman has proceeded to drive that horse into the ditch.

Beckman did show improvement last season, going 4-8 after a 2-10 record in his rookie season.  If Beckman doesn’t deliver a minimum 6-6 record in 2014, he will most likely will be fishing in a bottomless pit somewhere with Zook.

Coacheshotseat.com has been tracking college football coaches for many years.  It is viewed often by college football fans who want to see if their coach has made the rankings or moved up.
